anyone who isn't LDS probably won't get any of it, so i'll just tell you a little bit about it.

its basically a hugely satirical blog of everything stereotypical about mormon culture/the provo bubble/married LDS women bloggers EVER. whoever started it is a genius. i don't know what makes me laugh more-- the catch-all name JJWT for the name of the husband, the sidebar of ads that says "these pay for my pedi's!" or this line right here:

"Even though edge-cation has always been number #1 in my family, sometimes you just need to put family first like when I took a semester of hair school off to focus on my wedding...not to brag but that was my priority so I was willing to set my career a side."

even if you don't know anything about mormon culture, just read it for laughs. and just know that i'm not even close to ever acting like that. ever.

stumble THIS!

so stumbleupon.

a few years ago, kevin introduced me to "stumbleupon," this genius search engine that finds random web pages for you to look at based on the recommendations of others, and your personal preferences and settings. it cures boredom in an instant and has brought many wonderful things into my life.

all you have to do is install the little button into your browser, set your settings, and voila! you're good to go. for example, i can set my stumbleupon to only go to web sites having to do with shopping. or blogging. or music. or ipod things. whatever you want, just type it in and it will find you cool things. or, you can not type anything at all, and have it find the most random stuff ever for you.

She has the cutest little girl, is an amazing writer, and has even amazing stories to tell!

things to look forward to

so i'm finally all settled in with school, work, play, apartment, etc., and things are going swimmingly. plus, there's lots of exciting things to look forward to in the upcoming weeks (and months!).

first and foremost is THE OFFICE coming back on thursday YAYYYYYY. what will happen? will PB+J still be together? Are dwight and angela back together? WHO IS JAN'S BABY DADDY? these are all important, vital questions that we the people need to have answered.

secondly, i get paid on friday YAYYYYYY. too bad most of it will be stashed away in savings for that oh so important tution bill. pretty soon it will be october and i'll get to go grocery shopping again! i need food!

third, the new ben folds album comes out on tuesday!! i've been listening to my ben folds playlist on repeat for the past week in anticipation of this blessed event. i just need some new music in my life, ya know? (ps if you have any other recommendations, please, let me know!) ben folds brings out the hipster in me, what can i say.

for the past few days i've been lindsay's model for an assignment for her photography class. it was so much fun pretending to be on ANTM! here are some of my favorites!

also, i just signed up to take the test to be on the jeopardy college championship!!! wish me luck! the test is oct. 1st.

let me tell you a little about my roommate, ayumi.


her name is pronounced i-you-me. not a-YUMMY like someone called her last week. she's pretty much the best. we've been friends since we were wee little freshies in the dorms! she lived down the hall. we call her yooms.

• yooms is a grahpic design major and she has a lot of school ahead of her. she's very artsy and awesome at what she does.
• yooms is shorter than me, as you can see from the picture above, she can stand on our desk and still not touch the ceiling. quite a feat.
• yooms is japanese.
  
• yooms interned in new york city this summer and has brought that sweet manhattan vibe back with her.

3x3, 1-9, no repeats

i heart sudoku. i've loved it ever since elizabeth introduced me to it that one fateful night during christmas break freshman year. even though my first puzzle took me over an hour to complete, i never looked back.

that same year, i spent an entire 5 hour plane ride doing sudoku puzzles. sure i was on jetBlue and had a sweet tv with lots of channels to watch, but i chose to smarten my brain and do those little puzzles. the flight attendant noticed and even said something to me!

i continued to do sudoku during american heritage (to keep myself awake, of course) and whenever else i got the chance. i probably went through a good 5 or 6 books in a semester. i felt so smart and unstoppable. sudoku has truly helped me in my logic skills. people who watch me do it are amazed at my talent. what can i say? i'm just amazing.


now to my point- a while back i introduced you to makeup mah jongg (which for my mom and mrs. c was a really bad idea). now i will introduce you to something even better!

i can do sudoku with numbers, letters, and now... PEOPLE!

it's a lot of fun and not as hard as regular sudoku because the squares are much smaller. i love dragging monk ("monk") and shawn spencer ("psych") around the board and their stupid little expressions.

As the new school year commences,
we as BYU students have
a chance to leave our mark indefinitely
on BYU. As many of you
know, the Tanner Building has
undergone some major renovations
leaving us with the large, original
Tanner building and a new, “mini”
Tanner out front. I propose that we
as students begin referring to the
large building as the “Danny Tan-
ner” and the small building as the
“Michelle Tanner.” Think how it
would simplify life at BYU! Allow
me to illustrate:

Student 1: Hey where’s your next
class?
Student 2: In the Tanner Building.
Student 1: Did you mean in the
old big one or the new little one?
Student 2: In the old big one.
Student 1: Oh, OK.

This becomes the following:
Student 1: Hey where’s your next class?
Student 2: In the Danny Tanner.
Student 1: Have mercy!
Student 2: Cut it out.
Student 1: How rude!

i always have a running list of things to blog about, and then when i sit down to actually write something, my mind goes blank.

school started this week. this semester will be a killer, with my capstone class along with 4 other classes and a part-time job. hopefully i can make it work. i keep telling myself that i only have one more year of homework and mindless paper writing, and that makes it seem a little less daunting. i've made it this far, what's one more year, right?

places i might want to live after college:
-nyc
-dc
-chicago
-boston

what these places have in common is that they are large cities with good, reliable public transportation (i.e. subways). i'm not crazy about having a car because i don't want to keep up with the maintenance and gas, plus i don't want to drive in a big city or have to pay for parking a car i will probably rarely use. plus, big cities have more job opportunities for what i want to do.

an important thing to consider? cost of living.

all i know is this- my goal in 5 years:
